Briskey Out On Bond

A woman charged with killing a fellow Alabama football fan moments after the Iron Bowl is now free on $75,000 bond.  Twenty-eight-year-old Adrian Briskey is charged with killing 36-year-old Michelle Shepherd, who was shot after Alabama lost to Auburn. 

Jefferson County Bankruptcy

Jefferson County has emerged from the nation's second largest municipal bankruptcy and closed the sale of nearly $1.8 billion in new debt.  County Commission President David Carrington said the paperwork was signed Tuesday.  A group of residents is appealing the plan, which calls for higher rates for county sewer system customers. 

ASU Concerts

Alabama State University is hosting two free concerts this weekend.  ASU's Frederick Douglas Hall Community Choir will perform n Saturday, December 7th at 5 p.m. in the Lockhart Gym on campus.  The ASU Choir will perform at the Leila Barlow Theatre on Sunday, December 8th at 6 p.m.  The holiday concerts will be directed by Dr. Joel Jones.
