Bingo sponsor ask Ala senate to delay vote on one bill

By Sen Bedford seeks to delay vote on 1 bingo bill

Montgomery, AL – - The sponsor of two electronic bingo
bills in the Alabama Senate says he will ask the Senate to delay
consideration of one of his bills.
The Senate has put both of Sen. Roger Bedford's bills on its
work agenda for Wednesday. But Bedford said the first bill allowing
closed electronic bingo casinos to reopen needs more work to remove
immunity language. He said he will ask the Senate to delay it and
move directly to his main bill. It's a constitutional amendment
allowing 10 electronic bingo casinos that would be taxed and
regulated.
Bedford said he's uncertain if he has the 21 votes in the Senate
needed to pass the legislation.
