ASU's Kenneth Mullinax to Speak at Blanton Hearing

Alabama State University's Director of University Relations, Kenneth Mullinax says Wednesday he will keep a promise he made 15 years ago to appear before the parole hearing of Thomas Blanton; the man convicted in the infamous 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama.  Blanton was convicted of murder for his part in the bombing that killed four little girls.  Mullinax says in 1990, he met and became friends with Alpha Robertson, the mother of Carole Robertson, one of the girls killed in the bombing.  Mullinax says he will do his best to convince the board to keep Blanton behind bars.  The parole hearing is set for Wednesday in Montgomery.
