Over the weekend, military personnel and volunteers grabbed paint brushes and mops;they worked to help make some Montgomery Public Schools ready for the upcoming school year.
Nancy Beggs with the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce says the effort is part of a common goal: helping area schools during a tough economy.
Volunteers will head back out this weekend to work on more area schools. Anyone seeking volunteer information may call 264-3335.
