Ala. soldier wounded in Fort Hood shooting spree

Birmingham, AL – - A member of an Alabama National Guard
unit is recovering after being wounded in the shooting at Fort Hood
in Texas.
The military hasn't yet released the soldier's name. But members
of the 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command say he was able to
talk to relatives back home shortly after the shooting.
About 260 members of the unit are at Fort Hood awaiting
deployment to Afghanistan later this year. The group departed
Birmingham less than a week ago.
