By Ala. seven Congressman say no to health care overhaul
Montgomery, AL – - Alabama's delegation voted unanimously against
the health care legislation approved by the U.S. House.
Rep. Artur Davis, D-Birmingham, said the bill would cost too
much money and was for too much change.
The second Democrat in the delegation, Rep. Bobby Bright of
Montgomery, never publicly considered voting for the bill.
Alabama's five Republicans joined the rest of the GOP members
around the country in voting against the measure.
