AHSAA Resumes Postseason Play

Montgomery, Alabama –
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama receiver Julio Jones has
undergone surgery to repair a sports hernia. Jones is expected to
be back for fall camp. Last season, Jones had 58 catches for 924
yards and was a second-team Associated Press All-Southeastern
Conference pick.

ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Hawks are about to measure themselves
against the league's MVP. The Hawks will face LeBron James and the
top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday in Game 1 of the Eastern
Conference semifinals. Cleveland is coming off a sweep of Detroit
in the first round, while Atlanta needed seven games to beat Miami.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Alabama High School Athletic
Association is letting the games begin again. The association has
decided Monday to stick to a tentative schedule outlined last week
after all events were postponed due to fears over the swine flu.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Alabama utility man Brandon May has been
named the Southeastern Conference baseball player of the week. May
homered twice and drove in 12 runs in helping the Crimson Tide win
all three games last week.
