Agency says consumers snapped up all rebates

By $4.3 million in rebates no longer available, agency says

Montgomery, AL – - Alabama consumers have reserved the
entire $4.2 million available for appliance rebates in less than
three weeks.
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs reports
that the final rebate for buying an energy-efficient appliance was
reserved Thursday afternoon.
ADECA Director Doni Ingram says the department is operating a
waiting list in case people who reserved a rebate don't send in the
require documentation within 15 days. Applications on the waiting
list will be processed in the order they are received when
unclaimed funds become available.
Consumers can get on the waiting list by going to a website
(http://www.alrebates.com) or by calling (877) 856-6645.
