Spike Graham


Spike aka Richard Lee Young was given his first guitar on his eighth birthday as a gift from his parents.  He started his first band in the sixth grade. Spike is a former president of the Alabama Jazz and Blues Federation and the Alabama Roots Music Society.  He served on the Entertainment Comittee for Jubilee CityFest; and was instrumental in founding River Jam, The Armchair Series, Juke, River Romp, and Tavernfest.  He periodically teaches Blues Music History in Montgomery Public Schools and has been the host of Spike's Blues since 1994.
